The ION™ Platform consists of a 19-slot, a 2-slot, and a 1-slot chassis, along with a variety of slide-in media converter modules. The high density 19-slot chassis is designed for core network and datacenter applications where there is a need for high volume and centralized points of media conversion. While at the network edge, the 1-slot and 2-slot ION™ chassis' are designed to allow a single card, two cards, or one double-wide card to be deployed as a stand-alone media converter.
